Although this text is old, it is still somewhat true: I very rarely answer DMS unless I know you - or have some sort of commonality with you (I have really bad anxiety issues, paranoia, etc.)

It's not on purpose, and I don't dislike you, I'm just very anxious in random social situations.

In the modern day however, I'm more open to talking to people.
